Key Features of the USD Audio Millennium Series Subwoofers:
- Available in single 4 ohm, dual 4 ohm, or dual 6 ohm voice coils.
- 1000 watts Max and 500 watts RMS power handling.
- Built with rugged cast aluminum frame for dimensional stability and to eliminate stray magnetic fields for improved magnetic focus.
- Heavy duty 5-way gold plated binding posts that accepts 8 gauge wire.
- High excursion 4-layer treated foam surround.
- Heavy carbon fiber impregnated non-pressed Kraft pulp paper cone.
- Superior 7” high excursion “Flat” poly/cotton spider.
- 4-layer-2” voice coil featuring heavy copper wire wound on a heavy black anodized aluminum former.
- Extreme motor structure design utilizing double stacked magnets and deep bumped backplate for higher excursion limits.
- Magnets are 156mm OD x 60mm ID x 20mm each. These full size magnets yield much higher motor force than most other brands of subwoofers.
- Flared rear vented pole piece for lower back pressure and better air flow to improve power handling and lower vent noise.
- Extended pole piece for uniform magnetic fringe field flux as well as improved linearity and more efficient heat sinking of the voice coil in both directions if movement.
- Low carbon steel top plates & one piece backplate/pole pieces, yield better magnetic flux flow and are optimized using CAD and Finite Element Analysis for maximum performance and sound quality.
- One piece rubber wrap around gasket for clean appearance and excellent acoustic seal to the enclosure.
- Rigid polypropylene dust cap that adds strength to the cone allowing it to provide more true pistonic motion with less distortion.
